Junior Customer Service/IT Helpdesk
Newbury
£26,300 per annum

Our well established client based in Newbury, Berkshire are expanding and looking to take on a customer focused, technically minded team player, on a full time permanent basis.

Full product training will be given and internal career progression is available, with a clear career path and a review on your individual learning progress every 6 months.
Duties will include:

Dealing with inbound and outbound customer calls (approx. 70%)

Creating support tickets and investigating problems with suppliers

Responding to support emails and speaking to customer on live chat (approx.30%)

Solving customer problems and making sure they receive the best service possible
To be considered for this role you must have excellent communication skills, confidence with IT, have some customer service experience in retail/hospitality and be a passionate and quick learner.
Hours are Monday to Friday office based 8.30 - 5.00 with 1 hour lunch.

We are recruiting for a permanent, full time position, Mon-Fri working within a highly established and reputable company, where the working environment and culture are some of their top priorities - and fully appreciate they are nothing without their amazing people!
Duties will include but are not limited to.

Keep pricing files up to date with changes and aligned with quotations and tenders

Maintain existing contracts and report on expiry dates in advance

Maintain systems according to strict standard operating procedures

Management of tender portals

Support in other areas of the admin team in absence

Provide periodic contract data - meeting framework agreements

Prepare monthly buying group management information - rebates etc

Assist with keeping all service records updated on Salesforce

General customer queries - keeping everyone informed

Liaise with third parties service providers, management and sales teams
To apply for this position, you must be familiar with NHS government tenders.
Must be willing to work in the Oxford office at least 2 days week - team camaraderie is so important; being a smaller busy team. And also be willing to be cross trained on other areas in the department, as they all help each other covering absence and holidays.

In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for their valued clients, ensuring their needs are met through proactive service management and strategic relationship building. Your expertise will drive customer satisfaction, foster long-term partnerships, and support the growth of our business. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, analytical capabilities, and leadership qualities to excel in a fast-paced environment.
Duties

Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their business objectives and service requirements.

Serve as the main liaison between clients and internal teams to coordinate service delivery and resolve issues promptly.

Conduct regular analysis of client accounts to identify opportunities for upselling, renewal, or service improvements.

Utilise Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools to track interactions, manage pipelines, and report on account health.

Requirements

Proven experience in IT account management roles with a focus on customer care, client retention and growth.

Proficiency in CRM platforms for managing customer information.

Demonstrated leadership qualities in managing multiple client accounts effectively.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly.

Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments.

Familiarity with IT industry account management is essential (ITIL Cert. highly advantageous)
